About the Board of Directors
The IFOAM Asia Board of Directors is elected at the General Assembly every two years. Depending on the number of votes received, board member serve from 2 to 4 years. Board members are endorsed by the national organic organizations and IFOAM Asia members to represent the organic sector in their countries and regions.
Seven candidates with the highest votes are elected and the elected board members choose among themselves to serve as the President and vice-presidents (two persons).
The 4th IFOAM Asia GA was held on June 1st, 2019 in Xichong County, Sichuan County, China. The GA was attended by 78.5% of the IFOAM Asia membership and was chaired by Mr Mathew John from Keystone Foundation, India.
